SEN Teaching Assistant - Clapham

Location: Clapham

Salary: £80 - £85 per day

Job type: Long-term, temporary

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4pm

Start date: ASAP

End date: Ongoing

Year group: Various

We will also welcome applications from University Graduates looking to progress in education with no current classroom-based experience, or those with Nannying experience.

About the role:

  • You would be supporting across a range of schools in SW London
  • The role will include working in groups and on a 1:1 basis with pupils who require extra support
  • Lead interventions when necessary
  • Create stimulating learning resources to encourage academic progress
  • Help to set up and tidy up at the start and end of lessons


  • Experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant is ideal but not essential
  • Training in PECS, Makaton, L3 CACHE, L3 SEN are all beneficial
  • Must have lots of initiative and a pro-active approach
  • Bachelor's degree is ideal but not essential
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
  • You must have the legal right to work in the UK
