SEN Teaching Assistant
Tradewind are currently recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant to work in the East Riding of Yorkshire on a long term contract.
Tradewind are working with an excellent school in the East Riding of Yorkshire, who are looking for an SEN Teaching assistant, who specialises in working with students with Autism, to work on a long term basis. This is a full time booking, and is on an 'ongoing' basis, meaning it will likely last as long as the student is in the school. Payment for this position will be between £65.00 and £70.00 per day. This has potential to turn into a permanent position for the right candidate.
You will be working with a wonderful in a rural location, that caters for villages in the surrounding area. This is a wonderful, charming, small school that caters to some excellent students who are willing to learn. Your role will be within their SEN department, an expanding department dedicated to providing the absolute very best care to their students. You will be working with students with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, and experience teaching students with these needs are essential for this role. You will be working on a 1:1 basis with a student, and applications from teaching assistants who have worked on a 1:1 capacity before is also essential.
* Assisting the teacher in the delivering work with the child
* Developing curricular knowledge as required by the school
* Undertaking observations of the pupil and contribute to pupil records
* Abiding by and work towards all the policies within the school e.g. behaviour management, Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities
* Carrying out the above duties in accordance with the Children's Services Department's Equal Opportunities Policy.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with truly excellent students and staff members, and make a difference with willing and enthusiastic learners. We are looking for a teacher with effective subject knowledge, and an eagerness to provide an excellent quality of education. You will be working with an excellent head of department who is willing to work hard to help develop staff members. For this reason, we would welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers.
