SEN Teaching Assistant
This Primary School is located in Seven Kings in Redbridge and can be accessed on the TfL rail by Goodmayes station which is a 15-minute walk from the school. If driving, the A12 is also close to the school and there is parking on site and around the school for staff.
The school's leaders have worked hard over the last few years to provide all children with the resources they need to meet their full potential. The school is due an Ofsted Inspection this year, but leaders are fully prepared with most results being well above national average. They are now keen to appoint an experienced teaching assistant who can worked with a variety of special educational needs to join them on a full-time basis from January.
This role requires a candidate to be able to think on their feet, communicate well with the classroom teacher and be confident in their abilities. The role will include working 1:1 with students across the school who have a range of additional needs so prior experience is crucial. The school has clear procedures in place to ensure that each child receives the right level of help that they need, and the applicant will need to liaise with the SENCO and class teachers to ensure that there is a plan in place to help students progress.
You must be committed for the full academic year and demonstrate an interest in developing your career within education.
The role will involve
*1-2-1 Support with pupils with a range of SEN.
*Work alongside the KS1/2 class teachers to plan and prepare engaging, fun sessions for small groups of learners that need additional support.
The teaching assistant roles are full time, 5 days' a week and will be due to start in January 2020 for the full academic year.
To be considered for the one to one SEN TA in Redbridge, you must;
*Have previous experience working in a primary school setting.
*Be a team player - this role requires someone who works well with teachers, the SENCO, pupils and parents.
*Demonstrate commitment, dedication and resilience in your previous childcare work.
*Ideally you will be local to Ilford.
