SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you and experienced Teaching Assistant or support worker experienced in working with young people with additional needs? Tradewind are working with an additional needs setting in Sheffield providing education to young people across Primary and Secondary key Stages who are unable to access mainstream education for various reasons.

You may be working with children with Autism, Mental Health issues or those declared medially unfit to attend school and will therefore need experience of having worked with these types of learners previously. Team Teach training would be beneficial but not essential for this role as behaviour is generally positive.

You will be required to support all aspects of the pupils learning, both academically and also from nurturing point of view.
The position is full time and would be from January to July initially although there may be opportunity to go onto the schools contract.
The setting is well resourced with IT suites and workshops catering towards vocational qualifications. The curriculum is bespoke and student centred and class sizes are small, no more than 10 students at a time.

Pay - £70.00 - 85.00 per day
