SEN Teaching Assistant required to work with small groups of SEN students in a 11-19 SEN Specialist School in Sheffield.

Tradewind Recruitment are supporting an SEN school in Sheffield, to recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant to work with small groups of students with a wide range of needs, including Severe and Complex learning difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Disorders and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties.

This SEN Specialist School caters for students with a wide range of needs, They have recently incorporated practical activities to the students timetable.
Some of these activities include: Swimming classes, Art Therapy classes ,Games shows and race for life.
This Sheffield SEN school have also recently achieved there best ever results in the history of the school.
In the last two years they have also provided ASDAN, Personal and Social Education and Personal progress courses, as week as the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze and Silver Award to their students.

This role is open to applicants who have experience of working with SEN students, also those with no experience and a desire to developing experience in this area of education. Training including Team Teach and Moving and Handing is available to support your progress in this role.
This Sheffield SEN school was graded 'Outstanding' by Ofsted for personal development, behaviour and welfare and an essential requirements from applicants is that they are passionate about supporting a developing students with special needs, to achieve their potential.

About the role:

Full time 8:30 - 15:30, 5 days per week.
Immediate start available
Temporary to Permanent (After a successful 12 weeks working with Tradewind Recruitment)
Team Teach and Moving and Handling training available

This SEN school is located in Sheffield, there are regular bus links that take you directly to the school from Sheffield City centre, there is also free car parking on site.
