Tradewind is currently looking for an organised SEN Teaching Assistant with previous experience to work in a Secondary SEN School. The role will require you to work in a small class of 6 pupils who have ASD, SLD and other complex needs. This will be a challenging role so you must have experience working with ASD and SLD. This is a full-time role to work until the end of the academic year with the potential for the role to continue into the new academic year as well.
You will be responsible for working pupils on a 1:1 basis as well as small group work, aiding them with the alternative educational opportunities available to them. Patience, adaptability, experience supporting emotional regulation and flexible thinking will be key to success in this role.
For this role we are looking for:
*An experienced SEN Teaching Assistant who has worked with children with ASD and SLD
*Experience using behaviour techniques within a classroom
*A proactive team player, who is flexible and friendly
*Someone who is confident providing 1:1 support and facilitating small groups
*Someone to help children understand instructions through repetition and rephrasing
*Supervising students on school trips
Located in the borough of Sutton the school is for pupils that have Severe/Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties as well as those who have Autism and other Complex Needs.
