About the School - SENCO - Southwark, Central London

*From January, this Southwark school is looking for a SENCO to join them on a permanent basis.
*Located in the heart of Walworth, the school is in easy reach from both central and outer London via Elephant and Castle stations and by the A2. The school is in the heart of the local community and inclusivity is an important focus for the school.
*Recently visited by Ofsted, this Central London school has just gained a 'Good' rating overall with Outstanding features in Early Years Provision and Personal Development and Welfare. The Headteacher, and SLT have worked successfully to improve the quality of education for pupils, and student behaviour in class is very good.
*Teachers have high expectations of pupils at this Southwark School. They make sure that pupils understand the classroom routines and apply them consistently, which has resulted in students having a positive attitude to learning and they take pride in their work.


About the Role - SENCO - Southwark, Central London

*This permanent post would suit someone who has QTS status and also who has a strong knowledge of SEND in a primary school setting. A desire from the applicant to involve themselves with the National Award for SEND Coordination qualification is highly desirable.
*The SENCO applicant must have experience teaching students with SEN and evidence of creative a positive and successful learning environment. As well as this, the permanent SENCO role includes the implementation of strategic plans for pupils with EHCP's so strong knowledge of this is important.
*The successful candidate for this permanent SENCO role will have strong communication skills so that they can liaise with numerous stakeholders including outside agencies and specialists.
