Tradewind Manchester are supporting a primary school in Salford, who are looking to appoint a 1:1 TA to support a Year 5 pupil with speech and language difficulties. It is essential that the successful candidate must be aware of the ELKLAN speech and language scheme. This position is a full time, long term role, with the potential of a permanent contract. The Role:
The school are looking to employ a qualified teaching assistant to support a Year 5 pupil with Speech & Language challenges. You will be supporting the child full-time, 5 days a week, and you must be able to lead intervention lessons using techniques from the ELKLAN speech and language scheme.

You will be an integral part of the KS2 team and liaise with the class teacher to ensure the pupil is getting the most suitable support and is able to access learning.

To join us and be successful in this Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:

* Experience of working with children with SEN and in particular, EAL or Speech & Language
* Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
* Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included; employment breaks must be explained
* Have the legal right to work in the UK
