Tradewind Recruitment are looking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher of Geography who would like to teach the subject to all levels from Key Stage 3 through to 5. All teachers at this school work together in the interest of all students.
This highly successful inner city, multi-cultural comprehensive school is looking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher of Geography committed to achieving high standards for all students. The successful candidate will teach across the full range of ability, including GCSE and an opportunity to teach A Level if desired. The aim of the Geography department at this school is to inspire the next generation of geographers through interactive and engaging lessons. We are a department of three specialist geography teachers. The students are able to learn about geography both inside and outside the classroom through fieldwork.
This role will involve teaching Geography under the direction of the Head of Department. You will participate in the planning, development and implementation of the schemes of work. You will make a positive contribution to the development of the schemes of the work of the department. You will help in the organisation and running extracurricular actives. As always you will adhere to the school's discipline systems and be responsible for the marking and assessment of work along with departmental policies.
You may also be a form tutor and carry out the related duties in accordance with the general job description of a Form Tutor.
