Tradewind are currently recruiting for an outstanding Teaching Assistant to work with one of our partnership secondary schools in the East Riding of Yorkshire. The school is situated a short drive from Hull, and is extremely easy to access from: Hull, Beverley and Cottingham. You will be working on a 1:1 basis with a child with challenging behaviour, ensuring that the student is supported and can access their learning. Ideally we are looking for a practitioner who has experience working in a similar capacity, or a practitioner who has experience working in a pupil referral unit (PRU). All responsibilities associated with a teaching assistant position will be expected for this role, and for that reason the successful candidate will be paid in line with the salary for a Level 2 teaching assistant. In real terms, this means the successful practitioner can expect to earn approximately £70.00 per day for this position. The successful candidate will be working with one student in particular, with the contract length dependent on the length of time the student spends at the school. There is a good chance that this could last until the end of the academic year, or venture into the next academic year. Ideally we are looking for someone to start as soon as possible, but at the latest 24th February, which is just after the February half term. The school is looking for an excellent practitioner who is available full time, as you would be expected to work full time in this capacity. This is unfortunately non-negotiable, as the student requires continuity and a familiar face to aid with their progress.


This is a wonderful school, situated in the East Riding of Yorkshire, a short car journey away from Hull city centre. The school is most accessible via car, and there is a large onsite car park for those who drive, which will provide ample parking space regardless of arrival time. Your typical working hours will be 8:30 to 3:15. Supply staff/temporary staff are treated extremely well at the school, and it truly is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking for a long term position.
