Teaching assistant in a SEN school in Frome
We are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to work at a Special Needs school in Frome as soon as possible. The role is full-time and starts asap and ongoing until end of Term 3.

The school is a special needs school that caters for students with medical and profound learning difficulties and based in Frome. The hours are 0830-1530 and Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate they are looking for should have previous experience of working with students with physical disabilities and might require medication administration. If you have previous PMLD and complex learning difficulties, and have supported young people with high physical needs, this job might be right for you. The medicine administration and other training will be given.

The school is a well-doing school with excellent facilities both for their staff and students and offer training in wide range of Special Needs and Support. They are happy to consider candidates from backgrounds outside education (i.e Nursing, Social Care and etc.)

-You have previous Teaching Assistant or Care experience.
-You have previously supported young people with Special Needs.
-You have experience/Training in Manual Handling/Epilepsy/Medication Administration.
-You are available full-time from next term.

* Have experience of working with SEN students
* Have active interest in Autism and PMLD

*Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
*Have a CV covering at least 10 years employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
*Have the legal right to work in the UK
