The role will be working with a student that has recently joined the school but needs additional support but on a soft basis. The child is anxious that they would be seen with a 1:1 support that they wouldn't fit into the class and make friends so we require a Teaching Assistant that is discrete in the support they offer but is always on hand to be able to support when the student needs it. There is some emotional support that will be required as well with this student.
**About the School**
A common goal in school is that they want each child to be happy at school and to enjoy being a valued member of the school community. They look to achieve this by striving to provide a quality educational service, where every child is given the opportunity to reach his or her potential. Their aim is to promote positive behaviour and a healthy attitude to school life. They're achieving this by showing a respect for each pupil and their needs and by treating them with fairness, consistency and understanding. They provide a secure but welcoming environment, where expectations are high, achievements recognised and respect for self and others is fostered in a warm atmosphere.
