Job Description:

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide essential support to the teacher in a mainstream primary school Year 2 class. This is an immediate start opportunity, and the position is on a full-time, long-term basis. The successful candidate will work closely with the teaching staff to ensure the inclusive and positive educational experience of students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and tailored educational plans.
• Provide one-on-one support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
• Implement strategies to support the social and emotional development of SEN students.
• Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop individualised support plans.
• Participate in team meetings and communicate with parents as necessary.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
• Knowledge of various SEN needs and strategies to support them.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience and empathy when working with children with SEN.
• A commitment to promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Relevant qualifications and certifications are an advantage.

Working Hours:

The position is full-time, with working hours from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Immediate Start:

This position is available for an immediate start, and the successful candidate will be joining the school on a long-term basis.
