Are you a Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity in an SEN School based in South Liverpool?

Are you a Team Teach Trained Teaching Assistant looking for a full-time position starting September 2020 until April 2021 with the view to go permanent for the right person? Tradewind's SEND team are working with a SEN School to recruit an experienced teaching assistant or learning support assistant.

This is a full-time position on a long-term temporary contract, working 5 days per week 8:30am for morning briefing until 4:15pm for afternoon briefing, term time only.

The most recent OFSTED graded the school as 'Good'. At the SEN School, they cater for KS2 - KS4 pupils who have Autism, ADHD, attachment issues and mental health needs. The school aims to ensure that they give them the necessary support to improve their confidence, self-esteem, self awareness and emotional regulation.

The ideal candidate for this role will have Team Teach Training and a minimum of 6 months experience working in an Alternative Provision environment or have worked extensively with learners with Behavioural and SEMH (social, emotional and mental health needs) or Autism.

We are looking for:
*Excellent communication and behaviour management techniques
*Confidence in dealing with challenging behaviour
*Experience with supporting in Alternative Provision
*Be able to confidently work as part of the team and independently
*Team Teach Trained (desirable not essential as training can be provided)
