About the role
This OFSTED 'Outstanding' East Manchester primary school is looking for a Year 2 teacher with the right amount of experience to make a strong start in September. The school are looking for someone who can deliver lessons across the National Curriculum and has excellent behaviour management and sound subject knowledge. You must be a committed practitioner, who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout the role. As a year 2 teacher in this school, you will need to be a collaborative and driven individual who will support and lead on the delivery of subjects through inventive approaches including curriculum design and the use of ICT. You will also be responsible for the successful delivery of Key Stage 1 SATS. This is a school which is used to delivering strong Year 2 results every year and you be expected to maintain this.

Your key responsibilities
*Teaching a Year 2 class including achieving high Key Stage 1 SATS results
*Teaching all core and foundation primary subjects.
*Ensuring that all children make the minimum expected progress throughout the year
*Creatively linking subjects together to plan thematically
*Planning for, directing and working with a teaching assistant

To be considered for this role we require you meet the following criteria;
*Hold a relevant teaching qualification with QTS, such as a PGCE, B.Ed or a BA Hons.
*Have at least 1 Years full time experience in either Year 1 or Year 2
*Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident.
*Have at least 4 months school-based experience of working in a UK primary school setting.
*Two suitable references covering the last 2 years.
*Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
