Tradewind are working with a Good-rated large 2/3 form entry primary school in Watford, seeking a Year 3 teacher to start immediately and continue to the end of the school year, with a permanent contract possible for the right candidate.

This is an ambitious school with high expectations of their students, aiming to foster rapid progress for the children both socially and academically. The school is housed in 2 separate large, well-equipped buildings with spacious teaching areas. There are two large halls, a well-stocked library, a Food Technology room, quiet reading areas and an ICT suite, as well as spacious outdoor play areas which have been recently refurbished. Behaviour at the school was rated 'Outstanding' in their last Ofsted report, as well as aspects of teaching, with strong progress being made and high levels of literacy among the student body. The school also inspires and motivates its students with frequent days out and assemblies and workshops from outside professionals such as artists and musicians. In terms of transport, the school is situated near Watford town centre with convenient transport links to Central London, the M25, and the M1, with free parking available onsite for staff.


The school is looking for an inspiring, ambitious teacher who will support the school ethos of maintaining high expectations and fostering rapid progress. They offer strong CPD provision and thus are happy to consider NQTs as well as experienced teachers. There will be the opportunity to collaborate and co-plan with the other two Year 3 teachers. Responsibilities of this role will include planning and delivering lessons according to the curriculum, assessing students' progress, and maintaining regular positive contact with students' families.

Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification
