Inclusion Leader / SENCO - Immediate Start - Potential to Go Permanent in September
Location: East London
Salary: Competitive, negotiable based on experience + TLR/Leadership allowance
Contract: Full-time, initially on a temporary basis with the opportunity to go permanent from September 2024

Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a forward-thinking alternative provision in East London to appoint a passionate and experienced Inclusion Leader/SENCO to join their dedicated team as soon as possible. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a specialist setting, supporting young people who thrive in smaller, more nurturing learning environments.
About the Role:
As Inclusion Leader/SENCO, you will lead the strategic development of inclusive teaching practices and high-quality SEN provision across the school. You'll work closely with senior leaders and external professionals to ensure that every student receives the support they need to achieve positive outcomes-academically, socially, and emotionally.
This is a varied and rewarding position where you will:
Oversee and enhance SEN provision across multiple sites
Guide and mentor teaching staff on effective inclusive practices
Support with EHCP processes, IEPs, and target setting
Liaise with families, outside agencies, and local authorities
Play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of SEND across the school
What We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have:
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Proven experience working with students with diverse needs, including SEMH, ADHD, ASD, and specific learning difficulties
A strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and current educational legislation
Experience in managing or coordinating SEND provision within a school setting
Outstanding communication, leadership, and organisational skills
Ideally, the NASENCO qualification (or be working towards it)
