Tradewind are seeking a proactive Teaching Assistant to join a thriving team at a school in the diverse area of Burnage. As a general Teaching Assistant at our partner school, you will play a crucial role in the support of a mixed ability Year 3 class. You will be responsible for the safety and well-being of the whole class, as well as their educational progression. This post is required immediately, and you will be needed until the end of the academic year and into the next academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Year 3 teacher to ensure effective management of the whole class
  • Identify areas within the class where you can support with effective behaviour management
  • Act as a communication link between the teacher, student, and parents, providing regular feedback on progress.
  • Implement and execute interventions sessions with higher and lower ability students

Essential requirements:

To join us and be successful in this Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:

  • Have a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Have previous experience supporting pupils on a 1-1 basis
  • Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
  • Provide a CV with employment/education history included. Employment breaks must be explained.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
