Job Description

Alternative Provision Teacher

Tradewind are currently recruiting for a qualified teacher to join our fantastic team at our Ofsted-rated 'Good' school, working across their different sites in East Lancashire. Please note - this is one school, with several well-established AP sites that work closely together.

This is a rewarding and varied teaching role where no two days are the same. You'll be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASC, SEMH needs, and those with EHCPs. The successful candidate will be part of a skilled and compassionate staff team dedicated to delivering personalised, inclusive education that supports the child.

Who we're looking for:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS or QTLS) - ECTs are welcome to apply, and we offer strong induction support.

  • Someone confident teaching in a nurturing, small-group or 1:1 setting.

  • A flexible, proactive teacher who's comfortable moving between our different AP sites (all within East Lancashire).

  • A team player who is passionate about making a difference for pupils who may have struggled in mainstream settings.

  • Experience working with pupils with SEND, SEMH, trauma, or in alternative provision is desirable - but full training and CPD will be provided.

The role involves:

  • Delivering creative, adaptive lessons in core and foundation subjects.

  • Working closely with experienced support staff, site leads, SENCOs, and external agencies.

  • Contributing to the development of tailored support for pupils with EHCPs.

  • Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour through a trauma-informed, restorative approach.

What we offer:

  • A supportive and values-driven school team, all under one leadership structure.

  • Access to high-quality CPD in SEND, trauma-informed practice, and behaviour support.

  • Opportunities to develop professionally across multiple settings while remaining part of one unified school.

If you're ready to work with a dedicated team who care deeply about their pupils and want to be part of a school where inclusion, well being and high expectations go hand in hand, I'd love to hear from you.
