A fantastic part-time opportunity has opened up for a Learning Support Assistant to support a student with Global Delay in a welcoming primary school setting in Merton, starting this September.

Role: Learning Support Assistant (Part-Time)
Location: Primary School, Merton
Start Date: September 2025

Your Role Will Involve:

• Providing tailored one-on-one support to a student with Global Delay, helping them stay engaged and succeed in the classroom.
• Collaborating with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised strategies that support learning and development.
• Encouraging emotional regulation and building routines that promote focus and self-confidence.
• Supporting the development of positive social skills and encouraging independence in daily activities.
• Assisting the student throughout the school day, including during transitions, breaks, and enrichment sessions.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience working with children on an individual basis, particularly those with Global Delay or similar needs.
• A calm, supportive, and adaptable approach to learning support.
• Great communication and teamwork skills.
• Relevant qualifications or training in Special Educational Needs (SEN) support are desirable.
