Key Responsibilities:
- Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and effective English lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5.
- Assessing and tracking student progress, providing constructive feedback to facilitate academic achievement.
- Fostering a positive, inclusive, and challenging learning environment.
- Contributing to the development of the English curriculum and departmental initiatives.
- Participating in the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and pastoral care.
- Upholding the values and ethos of a Catholic school, promoting respect, compassion, and community.
We are looking for an English Teacher who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in English or a related field.
- Has a strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching English language and literature.
- Is committed to student success and differentiation for all abilities.
- Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is dedicated to contributing positively to the school's Catholic mission and community.
