Politics & History Teacher - Nottingham

Location: Good-rated Catholic school in Nottingham (part of a respected multi-academy trust)
Role: A-Level Politics (Y12 & Y13 - approx. 10 hrs/week) + KS3 & KS4 History
Contract: Full-Time
Pay: £165-£235 per day (dependent on experience)

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a values-led secondary school in Nottingham to appoint a passionate and knowledgeable Politics & History Teacher from September. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver impactful lessons in a well-regarded department, with a strong sixth form and supportive ethos.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Teach KS3 and KS4 History with clarity, creativity, and historical rigour.

  • Deliver A-Level Politics (Edexcel spec) - covering UK Government, Political Ideologies, and Comparative Politics.

  • Encourage critical thinking, debate, and civic engagement.

  • Track student progress and adapt teaching to meet diverse needs.

  • Contribute to department planning and enrichment activities.


The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds QTS and a relevant degree in History, Politics, or a related subject.

  • Passionate about storytelling, political literacy, and historical accuracy.

  • Builds excellent rapport with students across age ranges.

  • Open to both ECTs and experienced practitioners.
