Tradewind is working with a respected Catholic secondary school and sixth form in Nottingham to appoint an experienced and engaging A-Level Politics Teacher. With exceptional student behaviour, high attendance, and a warm, supportive humanities department, this is the perfect setting to deliver inspiring academic lessons to motivated sixth formers.

Starting from September, this role involves teaching Year 12 and Year 13 students following the Edexcel A-Level Politics specification.

About the Role:
You'll plan and deliver engaging, discussion-led lessons that foster critical thinking, debate, and political awareness. With a focus on UK and US politics, ideologies, and systems, you'll guide students through a demanding but rewarding academic journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Edexcel A-Level Politics to KS5 students.

  • Prepare pupils for exams through high-quality, analytical teaching.

  • Encourage political literacy, debate, and engagement.

  • Collaborate closely with an experienced, well-resourced humanities team.

  • Contribute to the academic and pastoral ethos of the sixth form.

What We're Looking For:

  • QTS and a relevant degree in Politics or related subject.

  • Experience teaching A-Level Politics (Edexcel spec preferred).

  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for current affairs.

  • Excellent communication and classroom presence.

  • Open to experienced teachers and confident ECTs with relevant background.
