This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with backgrounds in youth work, pastoral care, SEND, or behaviour support who seek flexible and fulfilling roles in education.
About This Position As a Behaviour Mentor, you will have a vital role in supporting students who face behavioural challenges, guiding them towards positive engagement with their learning and school community.
Core Responsibilities:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for students with social, emotional, or behavioural difficulties
- Managing challenging situations with calm professionalism, employing restorative practices when suitable
- Promoting students' emotional health and personal growth
- Collaborating effectively with teachers, pastoral staff, and SENCOs to deliver targeted behaviour interventions
- Demonstrating positive behaviours and establishing meaningful connections with young people

Who We're Looking For:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs (in education, youth work, or care settings)
- Calm, confident, and positive under pressure
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A proactive, empathetic, and firm-but-fair approach
- A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
- Right to work in the UK
