Primary Teacher

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting! Looking for a fulfilling primary teaching role in Liverpool? An OFSTED 'good' one-form primary school is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Primary Teacher from September 2025. This is a full time, long-term role with a daily rate of up to £160 per day.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for delivering learning in accordance with the curriculum, national guidelines, and the school's strategy. The successful candidate must also carry out other duties that support pupils' learning while operating in accordance with the school's policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan and teach well-structured lessons to assigned classes, following the school's plans, curriculum and schemes of work
  • Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned pupils, making accurate and productive use of assessment
  • Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils' and provide a supportive learning environment
  • Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
  • Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils
  • To keep up-to-date with, and remain knowledgeable of, the requirements of the national curriculum.
  • To self-evaluate your teaching in order to improve effectiveness.
  • Participate in arrangements for preparing pupils for external tests
  • To assist the head teacher and assistant head teacher in both the day-to-day running
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the school's policies, practices and procedures, so as to support the school's vision and values
  • Make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school
  • Actively support our school commitment to developing the whole child through extra curricula activities
  • Actively support school activities, on occasion, such as educational trips, clubs, and parents' evenings, which may require some out-of-hours availability.
  • Work with others on curriculum and pupil development to secure co-ordinated outcomes

To join us and be successful as a Primary Teacher, you will need:

  • To hold QTS status
  • Degree level qualification
  • Willingness to undertake CPD
  • Previous experience working in a school
  • An enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • A CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history (where possible)
  • The legal right to work in the UK
