Music Teacher - Corby
Start Date: September 2025 | Full-Time or Part-Time | Long-Term Role

Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with several secondary schools in Corby that are seeking engaging and dedicated Music Teachers to join their teams from September 2025. These are long-term positions with both full-time and part-time options available, ideal for experienced teachers or ECTs who are confident and enthusiastic about building a strong musical culture within the school.
The Role:
You will be responsible for delivering Music across Key Stages 3 and 4, with some schools offering GCSE, BTEC, or A-Level Music depending on the department's structure. You'll plan and teach dynamic, inclusive lessons that cater to a broad range of abilities and musical backgrounds. Students will explore performance, composition, and musical analysis through a mix of practical and theory-based learning.
You will also be expected to contribute to the wider school community by supporting or leading extra-curricular activities such as:
Choirs and instrumental ensembles
School productions and concerts
Music enrichment days and trips
Peripatetic lesson coordination (if applicable)
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality Music lessons aligned with the national curriculum and exam board specifications
Prepare students for internal and external assessments, including GCSE and BTEC where applicable
Encourage participation in music both within and beyond the classroom
Maintain a well-organised and inspiring classroom environment
Collaborate with colleagues in the performing arts and across the wider school to promote cross-curricular links
Support the department's use of technology (e.g. GarageBand, Logic Pro, Sibelius, or other DAWs)
What We're Looking For:
A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a specialism in Music or Performing Arts
Up-to-date knowledge of the Music curriculum and exam board requirements
Strong musicianship and the ability to teach a range of instruments or voice is a plus
A creative, energetic approach to teaching and learning
Experience in leading or supporting school concerts, ensembles, or productions
Excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to inclusive education
