Tradewind Recruitment is working with a well-regarded 3-form entry academy primary school in Slough who are looking to appoint a Year 3 class teacher to cover a short-term maternity leave from September 2025 until October half term. This is a full-time position within a collaborative year group and would suit either an experienced teacher or a confident ECT seeking valuable KS2 experience in a supportive school.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Delivering well-planned and engaging lessons to a mixed-ability Year 3 class, with support from year group colleagues.

  • Contributing to year group planning sessions and adapting shared plans to meet class needs.

  • Supporting pupils' academic and personal development, with access to in-class support and pastoral resources.

  • Maintaining strong communication with parents and school staff.


Who We're Looking For:

  • A teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum.

  • Someone with excellent classroom management and the ability to build positive relationships quickly.

  • A team player who can contribute effectively in a well-structured, supportive year group.

  • ICT skills are an advantage, as the school integrates technology into daily teaching practice.
