Cover Teacher - Slough - September 2025 Start

Tradewind Recruitment are working with a number of well-regarded secondary schools in Slough who are seeking flexible and reliable Cover Teachers to join their team from September 2025. This is a great opportunity for qualified teachers looking for day-to-day supply work with the option of 3 to 5 days per week, depending on your availability.

These roles are ideal for those who enjoy teaching across various subjects and year groups without the commitment of planning and marking. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

Position Details:

* Role: Cover Teacher (various subjects, no planning required)
* Location: Slough, Berkshire
* Start Date: September 2025
* Type: Day-to-day supply
* Working Days: Flexible (choose between 3 to 5 days per week)
* Salary: Paid to scale based on London Fringe allowance

About the Role:

* Deliver pre-set lessons across a range of subjects and key stages (primarily KS3 and KS4)
* Maintain positive behaviour management and a productive learning environment
* Support students' learning and engagement during staff absences
* Liaise with school staff and follow school policies and routines
* Work flexibly across multiple schools if preferred, or stay within one consistent setting

Requirements:

* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) - essential
* Previous experience teaching in UK secondary schools
* Adaptable, calm under pressure, and confident managing classrooms independently
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills
* A genuine passion for working with young people
