Job Advert: Psychology Graduate - Primary School Support Role
Location: Liverpool
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Contract: Term Time Only
Salary: £17345 - £19500 anually
Start Date: 2nd September 2025

We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic and motivated Psychology Graduate to join our team in a supportive Liverpool primary school. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone considering a future in teaching, educational psychology, or child-focused mental health and wellbeing roles.
About the Role:
Work closely with class teachers and SENCO to support pupils' learning and social-emotional development
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils, including those with additional needs such as autism, ADHD, or social/emotional challenges
Support the implementation of behaviour strategies and pastoral interventions
Assist with classroom activities and help maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment
Contribute to pupil progress tracking and feedback to staff
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A degree in Psychology (essential)
Experience working with or supporting children (e.g., in schools, clubs, tutoring, volunteering)
A strong interest in child development, behaviour, or SEN
A calm, caring and patient approach
Good communication and teamwork skills
A willingness to learn and reflect as part of a collaborative school team
