Full-Time | Term-Time Only
SEMH & Autism Provision | Secondary Pupils

Are you a passionate and resilient Science teacher looking to make a real difference?
We are recruiting for a Secondary Science Teacher to join a welcoming and specialist SEN school that supports pupils with Autism, SEMH, and associated needs.

The Role:

  • Delivering the Science curriculum (KS3/KS4), adapted to suit pupils with individual learning needs

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and a love of learning

  • Working closely with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, teaching assistants, and pastoral staff

  • Creating a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment

  • Contributing to wider school life and personal development programmes

About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) - ECTs welcome

  • A passion for inclusive, student-centred teaching

  • Experience (or strong interest) in working with students with Autism, SEMH, or additional needs

  • Able to build trusting, consistent relationships with students who may have experienced trauma or disrupted education

  • Calm, adaptable and creative in your teaching approach

Class Size & Support:

  • Small class sizes (typically 6-8 pupils)

  • Strong support from experienced SEN Teaching Assistants

  • Excellent training and CPD, including strategies for behaviour support, trauma-informed practice, and Autism
