Are you a passionate and resilient Science teacher looking to make a real difference?
We are recruiting for a Secondary Science Teacher to join a welcoming and specialist SEN school that supports pupils with Autism, SEMH, and associated needs.
The Role:
Delivering the Science curriculum (KS3/KS4), adapted to suit pupils with individual learning needs
Planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and a love of learning
Working closely with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, teaching assistants, and pastoral staff
Creating a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment
Contributing to wider school life and personal development programmes
About You:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) - ECTs welcome
A passion for inclusive, student-centred teaching
Experience (or strong interest) in working with students with Autism, SEMH, or additional needs
Able to build trusting, consistent relationships with students who may have experienced trauma or disrupted education
Calm, adaptable and creative in your teaching approach
Class Size & Support:
Small class sizes (typically 6-8 pupils)
Strong support from experienced SEN Teaching Assistants
Excellent training and CPD, including strategies for behaviour support, trauma-informed practice, and Autism
