Teaching Assistant - Year 5
Primary School - Ealing, West London
Daily Rate: £95
Working Pattern: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Hours: 8.15am - 4.15pm
Start Date: September 2025 for the full academic year

Are you passionate about making a difference in children's learning? A fantastic, modern primary school in Ealing is looking for a committed and proactive Year 5 Teaching Assistant to support pupils both in class and on a 1:1 basis.

This full-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with Key Stage 2 children, has a strong presence in the classroom, and brings energy and empathy.

About the Role:

In this role, you will:

  • Assist the Year 5 teacher in delivering engaging lessons and classroom activities.

  • Provide targeted 1:1 support for pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs.

  • Promote positive behaviour and help pupils remain focused and confident in their learning.

  • Build strong relationships with students and staff to create a consistent and inclusive learning environment.

  • Work with the school's SEN and pastoral teams as needed.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Be confident supporting pupils aged 9-10 in a busy classroom setting.

  • Have a calm, positive approach to managing behaviour and supporting diverse needs.

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, pupils, and parents.

  • Demonstrate excellent spoken and written English.

  • Have previous experience in a similar setting (desirable but not essential).

  • Bring a flexible, can-do attitude and enjoy being part of a school community.
