SEN Teaching Assistant (Autism)

Are you a SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a new role in Camden? Or are you a mainstream TA who would like to support children with Autism?

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for experienced TAs to join primary schools in North London specifically to work within their Autism provisions. Roles are generally full time, long-term role starting in September 2025 with opportunities to go permanent.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will be responsible for the below:

• Supporting SEN students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
• Encouraging and promoting student engagement in learning activities
• Enabling effective communication using PECS and makaton
• Contributing to support plans and strategies to meet the needs of each student
• Collaborating with staff, parents/carers, and outside agencies
• Monitoring and recording student progress and achievements

To join us and be successful in this role you will ideally need :

• Previous experience working with children with SEN, specifically Autism
• An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
• Legal right to work in the UK
