English Teacher - Northampton
Start Date: September 2025 | Full-Time | Permanent or Long-Term Opportunity

We are working in partnership with several well-regarded secondary schools across Northampton, who are seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join their teaching staff from September 2025. These are full-time roles with both long-term and permanent opportunities available, ideal for experienced practitioners or enthusiastic Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
The Role:
Deliver engaging and thought-provoking English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for KS5 depending on experience)
Create dynamic lesson plans that ignite students' interest in reading, writing, and critical analysis
Differentiate effectively to support a wide range of learners, including those with SEND or EAL needs
Encourage student voice and creativity through literature, drama, and debate
Assess, track, and report on progress to ensure every student reaches their potential
Contribute to the wider life of the English department, including literacy projects, reading challenges, and school performances
We're Looking For:
A qualified English teacher (holding QTS, QTLS, or equivalent)
Strong subject knowledge across both English Language and Literature
An ability to make English relevant, enjoyable, and inclusive for all learners
Confident classroom management and a clear focus on high expectations
A collaborative, reflective practitioner with a willingness to contribute to a team culture
