Business Teacher - Further Education Colleges | Northampton
Start Date: September 2025 | Full-Time | Long-Term or Permanent Position

We are working in partnership with well-regarded further education colleges in Northampton that are seeking a dedicated Business Teacher to join their teams from September 2025. This is a full-time role, ideal for experienced lecturers or ambitious early career teachers looking to work with motivated learners aged 16+.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Delivering high-quality lessons in Business Studies, including topics such as marketing, finance, economics, and entrepreneurship

  • Planning engaging schemes of work aligned to BTEC, T Level, or A-Level specifications (depending on placement)

  • Supporting learners with varying career goals and academic levels through differentiated teaching and personalised feedback

  • Assessing coursework and preparing students for exams and real-world applications of business knowledge

  • Contributing to curriculum development and enrichment activities such as enterprise challenges or guest speaker sessions

  • Maintaining strong industry links to help embed employability and up-to-date business trends into lessons

What We're Looking For:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, QTLS) or strong candidates working toward full teaching status

  • A degree or professional background in Business, Economics, Management, or a related field

  • Sound knowledge of post-16 qualifications (e.g., BTEC, T Level, A-Level) and the ability to engage learners in real-world topics

  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills

  • A proactive, collaborative mindset and a commitment to continuous professional development

  • Experience teaching in a post-16 or further education setting is preferred but not essential
