Start Date: September 2025 | Full-Time | Graduate Teaching Role with Paid Teacher Training Route

Are you a recent Maths graduate with a passion for problem-solving, logic, and inspiring young minds? Are you considering a career in teaching but want to gain classroom experience first-with a clear route into qualified teacher status?

We're working with supportive secondary schools across Northamptonshire who are looking to recruit enthusiastic Maths Graduates from September 2025 for full-time roles that lead directly into teacher training. • Supporting the Maths department with lesson delivery, planning, and student engagement across KS3 and KS4

  • Providing small group interventions and 1:1 support to students who need a boost in numeracy and confidence

  • Gaining real classroom experience while gradually taking on more responsibility, with mentorship from experienced teachers

  • Building your subject knowledge, classroom management skills, and confidence ahead of formal teacher training

  • Assisting with assessments, progress tracking, and extra-curricular Maths activities

  • Participating in CPD and pre-training development as part of your preparation for a teacher training programme

What We're Looking For:

  • A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject (minimum 2:2)

  • A clear interest in pursuing a career in education and a desire to train as a qualified Maths teacher

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • A patient, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to working with young people

  • Some experience with tutoring, mentoring, or working in schools is advantageous (but not essential)

  • The right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship not typically available for graduate roles)

What You'll Receive:

  • A full-time, paid graduate teaching role in a well-regarded Northamptonshire secondary school

  • Step-by-step support toward a teacher training route (e.g., School Direct or PGCE with QTS)

  • Mentorship from qualified teachers and school-based tutors

  • Structured CPD, including subject-specific and pedagogy-focused training through The National College

  • The opportunity to apply for a salaried teacher training place within your school

  • Dedicated support from a Tradewind consultant who will guide you through the graduate-to-teacher journey

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain meaningful experience in the classroom, develop your teaching skills, and transition seamlessly into a fully qualified teacher training programme.
