Are you a hands-on, creative individual with a passion for supporting young people in a practical learning environment?
A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Hackney, catering to students with moderate learning needs, is seeking a Part-Time Food & Art Technician to join their dedicated team from September 2025 to July 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people while working within a warm, collaborative team.
Role Details:
- 4 days per week (3 days in Food Technology, 1 day in Art)
- Term-time only
- Fixed-term contract: September 2025 - July 2026
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing, setting up, and clearing away materials and equipment for lessons
- Supporting teachers and students during practical food and art sessions
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised workspace
- Collaborating closely with a friendly and supportive staff team
We're Looking For Someone Who Is:
- Practical, organised, and detail-oriented
- Flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic
- Patient and passionate about supporting students with special educational needs
- Experience in a school, kitchen, art room, or workshop setting is beneficial - but not essential!
- This is a rewarding and varied role, ideal for someone who thrives on creativity and enjoys being part of a close-knit educational community.
