Are you a passionate English Teacher looking for your next opportunity in a high-achieving Secondary School? Tradewind are partnering with a Milton Keynes based school seeking an English Specialist to join their outstanding English and Media Studies department. The role offers a fantastic opportunity to work alongside a strong and supportive SLT who are dedicated to staff development and student success.
In addition to English, the role will also include teaching Media Studies. Whether you're an experienced English Teacher or an experienced Tutor/Instructor, this long-term position will provide a positive professional pathway to English (and Media Studies) educators, with a permanent role available within the school for the qualifying candidate!
Role Overview:
- Deliver engaging English and Media Studies lessons at KS3-KS5
- Plan, prepare and assess student progress in line with curriculum standards
- Ensure a structured, positive and inclusive learning environment
- Contribute to departmental planning, meetings and subject focused extra-curricular activities
- Maintain high expectations for student achievement and behaviours
- Collaborate with colleagues and SLT to support school-wide goals
Role Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - desirable
- Relevant degree to teaching, English and/or Media
- Experienced Tutors and Instructors looking to progress in a secondary setting are encouraged to apply
- Strong subject knowledge in English (and desirably Media Studies)
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- An individual who thrives within a supportive community-focused school
