SANZA Teaching Agency is working with a modern primary school in Ealing, West London, to recruit a skilled and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in Key Stage 1 who has Autism.

The child is non-verbal and can display challenging behaviour, particularly when feeling overwhelmed or frustrated by aspects of school life. We are looking for someone confident in applying consistent routines and strategies to de-escalate behaviour and support the child through emotionally difficult moments.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have strong experience supporting children with Autism, especially those who are non-verbal

  • Be skilled in managing challenging behaviour calmly and consistently

  • Use strategies such as visual timetables, clear communication, sensory breaks, and structured routines

  • Demonstrate emotional resilience, empathy, and a calm, firm approach

  • Be proactive in recognising and responding to signs of dysregulation or anxiety

  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and parents to adapt approaches and ensure progress

  • Believe in inclusive education and helping every child feel safe and valued

This is a full-time role for the academic year, Monday to Friday, from 8.30am to 4.15pm. You'll be a central part of the child's school experience and have the opportunity to make a meaningful, daily impact.

Why work with SANZA Teaching Agency?

  • A dedicated consultant who truly understands the needs of SEN professionals

  • Access to free CPD, including Autism Awareness, Behaviour Management, and De-escalation Strategies

  • Long-standing relationships with supportive, inclusive schools across London

  • A strong reputation for matching the right people to the right roles

If you're ready to bring your experience, strategies, and patience to a role, we want to hear from you.
