Learning Support Assistant - Secondary Schools - Daventry
Location: Daventry
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term / Permanent
Salary: Competitive hourly/daily rates (depending on experience)

We are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) for a number of secondary schools in Daventry, starting in September 2025. These rewarding roles are ideal for individuals who are caring, patient, and committed to inclusive education.

Role Overview:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll work closely with students who have a range of learning needs-including Special Educational Needs (SEN), English as an Additional Language (EAL), or social, emotional and mental health challenges. You'll support these students in and out of the classroom, helping them to access the curriculum and develop confidence and independence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 or small group support for students with additional needs

  • Assisting in lessons to ensure pupils understand and complete tasks

  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

  • Supporting teachers with classroom routines, preparation and behaviour management

  • Monitoring student progress and sharing feedback with teaching staff

  • Helping to create an inclusive, safe and engaging learning environment

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational or care setting

  • A positive, calm, and supportive approach to behaviour and learning

  • Passionate about inclusive education and helping students overcome barriers

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Flexible, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team

  • Experience with SEN (e.g. ADHD, ASD, SEMH) is highly desirable
