Science Technician - Secondary School - Crewe
Start Date: September | Full-Time | Long-Term Opportunity

Tradewind Recruitment is currently supporting a forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in Crewe in their search for a Science Technician to join their dedicated team from September. This is a full-time, long-term role, offering an exciting opportunity to play a key part in the smooth running of a thriving Science department.

The Role:

As a Science Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and setting up equipment and materials for practical Science lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics

  • Supporting teaching staff with practical demonstrations and experiments

  • Maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times

  • Managing stock levels and ordering new materials when required

  • Assisting in the safe disposal of waste materials

  • Helping to maintain a clean, organised and efficient working environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have previous experience in a Science Technician role (preferred), or a strong background in science (e.g. degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or a related field)

  • Possess good organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Be knowledgeable about laboratory safety and procedures

  • Be a proactive team player with a flexible, can-do attitude

  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in science education and supporting young learners
