The Role - TA & Behaviour Mentor (Year 6)
This exciting role combines general Year 6 classroom support with targeted behaviour mentoring for pupils needing extra guidance, particularly as they prepare for the transition to secondary school.
You'll be:
Supporting individuals and small groups with learning and behaviour strategies
Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and pastoral team
Implementing behaviour plans and promoting emotional literacy through daily interventions
Helping pupils manage challenges and grow in confidence
The Ideal Candidate
A calm, compassionate, and enthusiastic TA or aspiring teacher
Experience working with KS2-aged children, particularly those with SEMH or behaviour needs
Understanding of positive behaviour management and trauma-informed practice
A team player with excellent communication and emotional intelligence
