Secondary Teaching Assistant

Location: Falmouth and surrounding areas
Contract Type: Full-time (Part-time options available)
Start Date: September 2025 or earlier
Salary: £84-£95 per day (depending on experience)

We're working with a range of supportive secondary schools across West Cornwall who are looking to appoint enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join their teams. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and wants to support young people in achieving their full potential.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting students aged 11-16 in small groups or on a one-to-one basis

  • Assisting class teachers with lesson delivery and behaviour management

  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive learning environment

  • Supporting students with additional learning needs (SEN)

  • Assisting with exam preparation, interventions, and general classroom support

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in an educational or youth work setting

  • A calm, positive and adaptable approach

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships

  • An understanding of safeguarding and inclusion

  • A genuine desire to help students succeed
