Lab Technician - Secondary School - Hounslow
Location: Hounslow, London
Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier if available)
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time (plus some inset days as required)

A well-respected and ambitious secondary school in Hounslow is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Lab Technician to support practical science teaching across the curriculum. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to students' hands-on learning and help maintain a high-quality lab environment.
Main Duties as a Lab Technician will include:
- Setting up and dismantling apparatus for science experiments
- Managing chemical inventories and ensuring safe storage procedures
- Supporting students and staff during practical activities when required
- Ensuring the labs meet health and safety standards at all times
- Maintaining and organising equipment and materials efficiently
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has some experience in a laboratory or school science department
- Holds a science-related qualification (A-level or above preferred)
- Understands COSHH and general lab safety procedures
- Is adaptable, thorough, and keen to work in a busy school environment
- Enjoys working as part of a team and takes initiative
