Learning Support Assistant (KS3 focus) - Secondary School - Islington
Start date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time (term-time only), long-term
Location: Islington
Pay: £90-£105 per day

This Islington-based secondary school is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work primarily with students in Years 7-9, helping them make a successful transition to secondary school.
About the role:
- Providing general classroom and individual support across subjects in KS3
- Helping students develop organisation, literacy, numeracy and communication skills
- Building strong, positive relationships with students who need additional guidance
- Monitoring progress and reporting on student development to SEN and pastoral leads
- Supporting the emotional wellbeing of students and encouraging resilience
About you:
- Experience supporting students aged 11-14 is highly desirable
- Calm, positive and encouraging approach to learning
- Able to work flexibly and adapt support to different student needs
- Comfortable liaising with teachers, families and external professionals
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
