Behaviour Mentor - Secondary School - Newham - September Start

A dynamic and inclusive secondary school in Newham is seeking a confident and committed Behaviour Mentor to join their pastoral team this September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students who face social, emotional, or behavioural challenges and help them thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

🛠 The Role:

  • Work 1:1 and in small groups with students displaying challenging behaviour

  • Provide targeted emotional and behavioural support

  • Support teaching staff in managing behaviour across the school

  • Contribute to behaviour strategies and intervention plans

  • Act as a positive role model and mentor for students

✅ The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience supporting young people with behavioural needs (school, youth work, or alternative provision experience welcome)

  • Calm, firm, and nurturing approach

  • Excellent communication and de-escalation skills

  • A passion for supporting young people from diverse backgrounds

Hours: Full-time, term-time only
