A diverse and inclusive secondary school in Westminster is seeking a patient and resilient Behaviour Support Assistant to work with students requiring additional behavioural support. This Behaviour Support Assistant role in Westminster is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate looking to gain practical experience in behaviour management and pastoral care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and group support to students at risk of exclusion or disengagement
  • Work closely with the SEN and pastoral teams to implement strategies that promote positive behaviour
  • Support students in and outside of class, including supervised break and lunchtime duties
  • Record behavioural incidents and contribute to intervention planning
  • Build strong relationships to help students feel supported and valued

Requirements:

  • Degree or background in Psychology, Criminology or Youth Work (preferred)
  • Resilient, empathetic and calm under pressure
  • Confident working with challenging behaviour or SEMH needs
  • Committed to safeguarding and student welfare
