A diverse and inclusive secondary school in Westminster is seeking a patient and resilient Behaviour Support Assistant to work with students requiring additional behavioural support. This Behaviour Support Assistant role in Westminster is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate looking to gain practical experience in behaviour management and pastoral care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and group support to students at risk of exclusion or disengagement
- Work closely with the SEN and pastoral teams to implement strategies that promote positive behaviour
- Support students in and outside of class, including supervised break and lunchtime duties
- Record behavioural incidents and contribute to intervention planning
- Build strong relationships to help students feel supported and valued
Requirements:
- Degree or background in Psychology, Criminology or Youth Work (preferred)
- Resilient, empathetic and calm under pressure
- Confident working with challenging behaviour or SEMH needs
- Committed to safeguarding and student welfare
