This inclusive secondary school in Waltham Forest is looking for an Inclusion Support Assistant to work with students at risk of exclusion or disengagement from learning.

About the role:

  • Providing mentoring and behaviour support for targeted students across KS3 and KS4
  • Supporting pupils in internal inclusion units and during reintegration into mainstream classes
  • Running restorative conversations and behaviour reflection sessions
  • Monitoring attendance, punctuality, and engagement in partnership with pastoral leads
  • Acting as a consistent adult role model across the school day

About you:

  • Experience with SEMH, behaviour or youth mentoring in schools or external services
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality in a school context
  • Can adapt communication to suit a range of student needs
  • DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
