Year 2 SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Autism Support
Location: Ealing, West London
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £95 per day
Contract Type: Full-Time, Fixed-Term (Academic Year)
Hours: 8:15am - 4:15pm, Monday to Friday (3.00pm finish on Fridays, term time only)
SANZA Teaching Agency is working in partnership with a primary school in Ealing to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil with Autism and complex needs. This full-time role begins in September 2025 and will run for the full academic year.
The school is seeking someone who is patient, resilient and committed. The pupil can have challenging behaviour, so the successful candidate will need to show perseverance, consistency and a proactive approach. While there will be difficult days, there will also be highly rewarding moments where your impact will make a real difference.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver structured, consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day
Assist with communication, routines, transitions and regulation strategies
Implement targets set by the SENCO and external professionals
Adapt learning tasks with guidance from the class teacher and inclusion team
Support the pupil's emotional regulation through structured strategies and movement breaks
Provide clear and regular feedback to staff and parents on progress and behaviour
Candidate Profile

Experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) or similar SEN needs
A calm, patient and reliable approach to behaviour management
