Secondary School Case Worker - Blackpool 🏫
Are you passionate about supporting young people to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential? We are seeking a dedicated Secondary School Case Worker to join our team in a thriving Blackpool secondary school. This is a permanent position with a start date of September 2025.
As a key member of our pastoral team, you will manage a caseload of students, providing targeted intervention and support to remove barriers to learning and improve well-being. Key Responsibilities & Focus 🎯
Caseload Management: Manage a dedicated caseload of students with complex social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
Targeted Intervention: Develop and implement personalised support plans to address specific student needs, focusing on attendance, behaviour, and academic progress.
Liaison: Act as a central point of contact, collaborating with parents/carers, teachers, and external agencies (e.g., social services, mental health services) to ensure a holistic support network for students.
Safeguarding: Uphold and promote the school's safeguarding and child protection policies, reporting any concerns promptly to the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Essential Skills & Qualifications ✨
We're looking for an empathetic, organised, and proactive individual with:
Proven experience working with young people in a school or similar setting.
A strong understanding of case work principles and how to manage a diverse caseload.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students and families.
Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding legislation and best practices.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., degree in social work, youth work, or a related field) are highly desirable.
