SEN Class Teacher - Wellingborough
Full-time | Term-time only | Competitive daily rates / MPS-UPS + SEN Allowance

Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a number of SEN (Special Educational Needs) schools in Wellingborough, who are seeking passionate and committed SEN Class Teachers to join their teams.

These schools cater for pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism (ASC), speech and language difficulties, moderate to severe learning difficulties (MLD/SLD), and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.

This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced SEN teachers and confident mainstream teachers looking to transition into a specialist setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering personalised lessons tailored to pupil's individual needs
  • Creating an inclusive, safe, and supportive classroom environment
  • Managing support staff (e.g., TAs) effectively to enhance learning outcomes
  • Using a range of strategies to support communication, behaviour, and engagement
  • Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to EHCP reviews and reports

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEN (in mainstream or specialist settings)
  • A nurturing and resilient approach to teaching
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Willingness to undertake CPD and further SEN training
